Poor Construction Practices

Cody Weight, owner of Solitude Homes built our home. Our balcony is actually pulling away(levering) from the structure. He came out to inspect the issue and agreed to fix the poor workmanship. He then went back on his word and refused to fix the problem. With the recent earthquake the issue is now a hazard and has damaged our patio with multiple cracks. The cost of the patio alone is over $8,000. We had a structural engineer inspect and it was determined to be the builder at fault. Our neighbor had a similar issue with his home constructed by Clearwater Const. who was then managed by Cody Weight. Clearwater was sued by other homeowners with similar balcony issues in Hidden Springs and filed bankruptcy as a result. Be very, very careful hiring Solitude Homes as they will not stand behind their work.
